Design week 2022

This year table and cabinets KnoTie (designer Agnė Balkė) and cabinet “1/9” (designer Vincentas Kuodis) were presented during Design week events. The newest design works were exhibited in cafeterias windows showing Lithuanian design. Design week duration – 7 days.

Decorative furniture with cords KnoTie

Decorative furniture with cords is perfect to keep in all accessories while decorating every furniture item according to individual needs. The furniture is made of perforated metal with holes and decorated with cord. With colored cord strung through metal holes furniture is turned to an educational-creative for children and adults. Using a different weaving method, a different pattern can be portrayed every time. The variety of ornaments can be expanded by choosing a different color of the cord or even combining several colors. Small creative accents allow to create an original home furniture. The furniture is made of painted perforated metal with holes, painted MDF, colored cord. Table h-550mm, diameter 400mm, round cabinet h-400-420mm, diameter 500mm, cabinet on the wheels h-360mm, 500x380mm.

Cabinet “1/9”

The cabinet is designed for visually impaired people easier to find items at home. Facades decorated with different patterns creates different sensations by touching. When coming into contact with facades texture and connecting the surfaces with inside objects — process becomes simple like using Braille. Different facades pattern create an alternative to Braille. The cabinet is suitable for visually impaired but can decorate any home. The cabinets interior is made of oiled MDF board, facades milled with different textures and painted. Cabinet size 960x960x300mm.
